Hello all. We are finally relieved, for the fires are no longer a threat. We have been packed and ready to evacuate since Monday. Thank goodness we have remained safe and still have our home. We have been praying for those who have lost their homes. It has been so sad and devastating to look around at all the smoke and burned areas. We had our good friends staying with us for a few days because they were evacuated. They were able to return to their home this morning.
We went to the pumpkin patch on Sunday (before the fires started) and it was extremely windy and dry out. The santa ana winds were here, in fact we had gotten all the way to our usual spot, Bates Nut Farm and had to turn around because of the extreme winds and dirt flying around. At any rate, we had a lot of fun at our local pumpkin patch playing games, face painting, animal petting zoo, the slide, and just hanging out together as a family. Thank you for all your calls of concern and prayers!

What a relief it is to know that you and your family, and your home are ok! Looks like you all had a great time at the pumpkin patch! We just went today. It was our first chance to go and I forgot my camera :(
Happy Halloween!
